FAQ WOOX PRODUCTS

Q: How can I reset the device?
A: Press the on / off button for 10 seconds, wait until the LED light flashes and the device is reset.

 

Q: The device cannot be used properly, what is the reason for this?
A: Check if the network is normal, you can place the product closer to the router, and if that doesn't work, it is recommended to reset the device and re-add it to the app.

 

Q: Why do I still see the device in the app after I have reset?
A: The reset device function only resets the network configuration of the product but cannot change the configuration in the app, removing the product in the app will make the device disappear.

 

Q: How do I set the product on a different router?
A: First remove the product from the app settings, then perform a reset on the product, connect your phone to the new router and restart the app to add the product to the new connection.

 

Q: Why don't I get the notifications with my mobile phone app ??
A: Confirm that the app is active on the phone and the relevant reminder function is open; Message notifications and confirmation of the mobile telephone system are on.

 

Notifications for the use of this device!
This product only supports a 2.4 GHz WiFi router, please make sure you use a 2.4 GHz WiFi router once connecting and make sure that your mobile Phone or tablet on which the Woox Home app is running also is connected this 2.4GHz WiFi network. The connection is one time only, after you can use any other network on your Phone or tablet to connect and control your Woox devices.

Q: Smart Camera shows offline, how to resolve?
A: Please remove the Camera from the app and set it up again.

 

Q: Alexa or Google Assistant can not find the Smart Camera.
A: Please try to disable Woox home skill and enable it again

Q: How to use image streaming via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant?
A: Amazon Alexa: Make sure that you use a Fire TV streaming device when you wish to stream images from the Woox camera connected to Alexa to a monitor or TV.
A: Google Assistant: Make sure that you use a Chromecast streaming device when you wish to stream images from the Woox camera connected to Google Assistant to a monitor or TV.

 

Q: SD card can not be identified.
A: It is recommended to plug in the SD card with the device powered down. Confirm the SD card is formatted as FAT32. Maximum supported size is 128GB.

 

Q: Why is the camera still in the app after resetting.
A: The reset device only resets the network configuration of the camera, but does not change the configuration in the App. The connected camera can only be deleted from within the App.

 

Q: The device cannot be previewed properly?
A: Check the wifi connection, place the camera close to the router. If this fails it is recommended to remove the device and add it again.

 

Q: Why I can't get the notifications with my cell phone App?
A: Please confirm that the App has been running on the phone, and the relevant reminder function, message notification and authority confirmation permission in the mobile phone system have been opened.

Q:How to restore factory settings
A: Select the Smart Camera in the device list. - Tap the settings button to open the settings menu for the Smart Camera. - Tap Remove device and tap Confirm in the pop-up. - When the device has been removed, the status LED  will flash. The Smart Camera has now been reset and is ready to be  connected to a network again.

A: Turn the Woox lighting device 3 times on and off, the light will start to flash, you can now reconnect the device.

AMAZON ALEXA FUNCTIONALITY
- Start the Alexa app.

- Click the menu button in the top-left corner. 
- Click Skills & Games.
- Search for the Woox home skill.
- Tap on the Woox home skill.
- Tap Enable.
- Enter your Woox home app account and password, then tap Link Now.
- Tap Authorise.
- Now your Woox home account is linked to Amazon alexa.
- Tap DISCOVER DEVICES to link Smart Camera to Alexa.
- Now your Woox home account is linked to Alexa. All the smart devices in your Woox home account will now also be in the Alexa app. 

GOOGLE ASSISTANT FUNCTIONALITY
- Start the Google Home app .

- Tap the profile button.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Assistant and Home control.
- Tap + button in the bottom-right.
- Search Woox home action and tap it.
- Enter your Woox home app account and password, then tap Link Now.
- Tap Authorise.
- Now your Woox home account is linked to Google Assistant. All the smart devices in your Woox home account will now also be in the Google Home app.


IFTTT FUNCTIONALITY 
-when using the IFTTT app you need to add "smart life" to find all your WOOX devices in IFTTT and get them set up in this platform.
